But we’ve got to wonder who’s going to shell out $100,000 for a backpack rocket that provides just 75 seconds of flight time.
Nevertheless, Thunderbolt Aerosystems is releasingThunderpack, a “personal propulsion system” it says provides a 300 percent improvement in flight time over other rocket packs.
There are other rocket packs? Yes, actually.
According to the company’s entertaining press release, Thunderpack “represents more than a decade’s worth of effort to apply modern rocket fuels and propulsion technologies to create a practical and economical personal air vehicle.”
